She is referring to an honestly great community, one with morals and ethics and values; the sad thing is that the communities we typically consider "great", i.e. New York, are full of the negative aspects of society.
I BELIEVE THIS QUOTE IS SAYING THAT ONE PERSON IS NOT ENOUGH TO BECOME A COMMUNITY BUT IN FACT NEEDS EVERYBODY TO BE INVOLVED, WORKING TOGETHER IS DEFINETLY THE BEST SOLUTION.(THE DRAGONS DID NOT WIN THE C.I.F BY OUR QUARTER BACK BUT BY A TEAM.
A community can not work if all the people in it isn't cooperating. She is referring to the community based as a whole instead an individual. The people in the commuity should be honest.

When you look at a community you're not just looking at any one person in particular, you look at how the community functions as a whole. It's as a community that we reach our greatest potential and achieve bigger, better things than we would be able to individually.
I don't know about this one, because you could have a community of hermits. Every member of the area could be at-home workers with no social life except that which on a pc. No doubt this quote is true, but in what terms?

i think that if a community actted that way it would make a city a better way.
i believe mrs kings she is saying a good community is not measured by the crime rate, or the amount of money they have. in this quote i fel she is saying the community's greatness is measured by the goodness of the people.
THIS QUOTE SIGNIFIES HOW THE GREATNESS OF A COMMUNITY COMES FROM THE PEOPLE THAT RESIDE IN IT. ALL OF THE ACTIONS THAT ARE PUT FORTH BY THE CITIZENS SHOW HOW WELL THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPES AND WORKS.

that actions speak louder than words. a community that love has a soul that are better than any other coummunity with material goods. so love and do things instead of saying it all.
UMM, I BELEIVE THAT CORETTA SCOTT KING IS SAYING THAT WE SHOULD CARE FOR ONE ANOTHER AND BE THERE FOR ONE ANOTHER BY HELPING EACH OTHER MAKING THE COMMUNITY MUCH STRONGER AND SAFER NOT HAVING JUST ONE PERSON COOPERATING ONLY AS A COMMUNITY WILL ACTUALLY MAKE IT HAPPEN-(MAKE A DIFFERENCE!)
