Read the following quote and respond by either analyzing what is being said or reflecting personally through your own experience. Please use the SAT Word of the Day in your answer.
Word of the Day:
Transitory (TRAN zih toh ree)--short-lived or temporary
Examples:
The sadness she felt was only transitory; tomorrow, she was certain, her mood would improve.
The attention that salesperson is paying toward me is only transitory-when a wealthier customer comes in, I’m sure he’ll move on to her.
Quote:
The revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall.

i think what 'che' meant was that the revolution is something we make transitionary. it doesn't just happen, we make it happen. therefore, we have to stop the apple from falling.
Ummm... I don't think this guy has ever worked in the fields or on a farm... or maybe he has. Really, if you want to think you should force unripe fruit from a tree so that it will ripen at your reach instead of eating it when it falls, then you are a hasty person that wants to rush the natural way of things, who wants to feel like he/she is in power. Sure fruit, after hitting the ground, has a transitory amount of time until it is over ripe and we picky perfectionists won't want it., but if we rush it it will still take time to ripen to a edible period.
i think this quote is very interesting.... i mean a big change would be an apple falling from a tree i dont undertnd but its interesting.
that revolution has to be made to happen. it cannot start itself. if people do not stay with the revolution then it will be transitory.
I think he meant something as important as revolution takes just the right conditions, but needs a little extra effort to actually happen. The need for serious social change can come about naturally, but the change itself takes committment and hard work. The condition of "ripeness" is just a transitory phase, it won't happen naturally as with a fruit.
What he is basically saying is that in order to make a dream happen you must not only dream it but also live it and make it happen. Has people we have a transitory life but we are brought on this earth to help make it better not worse or the same. ~~Yadadadadadaddadadadadmean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~~
people that are transitory and don't want to worry about thing like relevution then they are in transitory.
A revolution is not transitory it is something thought provoking and enlightenng and that will benefit the people as a whole
