Chavez and his followers in his campaign for social change were standing up for what they believed in. He's right, you can't stop something with such great momentum behind it, or take back something that's already been done or said. He was saying that they wouldn't stop, they set a goal and were determined to follow through with it, unfettered by the opinions or actions of others. He didn't want to just stand down anymore, and he was letting people see that so they would follow suit. Their strength and resolution were extremely admirable.
The unfettered attitude is a great feeling once you know how you are and where your going

people cannot be unlearned if they have the knowledge of knowing things. people who have learned are unfettered. they can do anyhing.
Thus it is said that this man is gangstar. He has some great points and they are visible in this unfettered quote. No man should fear change, especially if change is what is needed to better a corrupt world.

i think what cesar chavez means is that people should be unfettered. having social change as part of you then you can't reverse your way of thinking. the future is part of what we make it.
