Read the following quote and respond by either analyzing what is being said or reflecting personally through your own experience. Please use the SAT Word of the Day in your answer.
Word of the Day:
Florid (FLOR id)--describing flowery or elaborate speech
Examples:
The speech of the man who addressed the graduating class was so florid that it confused half of the class and bored the other half.
When you accept your award, keep it simple; you don’t have to be so florid.

What?! How could even be thought of being recorded in history? This is definately not a florid or vivid quote, and if someone actually thinks it is they should shoot themselves.
I think that this quote is more of a florid tone I don't agree I think it's more when the rich don't help the poor the poor continue to get poor and the rich stay poor inside
MONISHA NEWBON
that the fact is that when rich people think of other people as poor they have poor ideas because they classify others as poor. poor people can proably florid rich peole about life.
Despite her florid speech, this quote is nothing but a really bad play on words. She's pointing out something fairly obvious, the rich don't think like the poor because they aren't poor. Sucks for them though, because the people who make the big decisions have the most money, which is kind of ironic isn't it? The moral of the story is either you dedicate your life to being greedy or the corporate masters will getcha! Either way your life will be bought.
i se' dis is sayin' the rich don't care none for the poor. wen dey tink' bout' the poor day no pay no mind. Evita have a florid idea bout' what goes on wit de people.
i don't care about this quote because the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor and that's the way the economy goes!
well i think that this statement is not a florid statement it is very mind powereing that instead of rich people having rich thoughts of poor people they would rather have poor ideas.
EVITA WAS VERY FLORID ABOUT THIS STATEMENT. PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT POOR DO NOT THINK LIKE THE POOR NOR DO THEY KNOW HOW IT FEELS TO BE POOR. THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO CAN FIX THE PROBLEM ARE THE RICH AND THEREFORE IT OBVIOUSLY IS NOT GOING TO BE DONE.
evite peron's statement was not a florid one. she tries to explain how if the rich thought like the poor then they would have poor idead but does she know what it feels like to be poor? most like not. that is why she states this stupid statement.
the rich think of them self as being florid and when they think of the poor the its just the other side of things and i deem that is unjust
they have changed.
The rich do not know the poor. They cannot. Just as we cannot acurately describe an extraterrestrial race without the anthropomorphic problem, the rich man cannot do anything for the poor without corrupting it.
p.s. Cassi3 is a florid cooki3.
