i tyhink that as a person grows they may lose some integrity causesing them not to pursue their dreams and letting themselfs age
Translation- people grow old because they no longer hae a purpose in life, they do not grow old because life has no purpose. integrity in life keeps these old people young. if they have integrity, they have me of a reason to live. if they have a good reason to live, we don't have to put them in old peole homes.
i think gabriel garcia marquez meant that having integrity is what makes someone stronger. if we stop pursuing our dreams then something is wrong with us. once we've given up hope and we stop trying to pursue our dreams then we are considered old but not till then.
Some old people have to much integrity so as they grow older they let their dreams go because they think that they cannot accomplish them... I will never let my dreams go

the fact that people stop are old because they stop pursuing there dreams. people who are old do not feel old are proably are not old because they are still living or pursuing there dreams. it is integrity that pursues them to feel young. you are as old as you feel.
WHAT I BELIEVE HE IS SAYING IS THAT INTEGRITY IS THE BASICS OF LIFE AND PEOPLE BELIEVE THAT THEY HAVE FINISHED THEIR LIVES WHEN THEY ARE OLDER BUT TRULY ONE IS NOT DON WITH THEIR LIFE IF THEY ARE STILL LIVING. NO ONE PERSON EVER STOPS GROWING....THEIR IS MORE TWO ACCOMPLISH ON THIS EARTH THEN WE THINK :)!!!
The only thing I can argue about for this quote is no matter what you get old and you die. Though it is also true that if you keep a child like mind full of wonder and dreams, you will never age. So, with enough integrity to you goals and dreams and aspirations, no matter how bad or great life gets you will always be able to say you kept to your dreams.
well integrity i think that this statement is true and i think that you do grow old if you stop prusuing dreams.
