The truth is better left unsaid for those who aren't willing to except it. In history we read about all the battles that our ancestors fought and died about yet, we still struggle and we rather struggle because it is convient than to stand up for what right which is in convient

In a society with a conflicting confluence of cultures and media messages such as ours, people get lost. They lose their individuality and their sense of self, as well as everything that goes with it. We're encouraged to back down, to obey, to behave and act certain ways to be cool or acceptable by society's standards. If one doesn't know how to stand up for themselves, then they don't have the control they need in their lives, so they become pseudo-masochistic to deal with their issues in life. If you've spent your entire life being the victim, it becomes familiar and you end up reenacting it over and over again through various scenarios in your life; sometimes subconsciously, sometimes not. Point being, Marilyn Manson is saying that we live in a time when it is easier and more common to be the victim than to stick up for yourself.

OH M&M YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. Really,Manson does have a point though, I mean we live in a world where people are much more used to living in a shell or a box. porn- Mike wrote porn, but anyway, to believe that most of the world is out of the box is to believe that there is no war, no strife, no hate.
