Don't be content to just sit back and watch the world go by. Try to understand things; how and why they exist, and how they work. Learning about more than what meets the eye is more intellectually satisfying than acceptance at face value.
that when you research thing tell them to people. don't just see the surface. go deep into the reasearch and know the things that you should. know the things that you are going into. just don't know the stuff tell it.
I BELIEVE WAHT HE IS SAYING IS IN LIFE DON'T JUST LEARN, IT DOES NOTHING TO BENEFIT THE WORLD THAT SURROUNDS YOU. YOU MUST EXPLORE AND DISCOVER IN ORDER TO BRING TRUE MEANING TO YOUR LIFE.
when in a group you volunteer your ideas and everyone puts their input into whatever the project maybe because to sit and watch as an observer doesn't teach as much as being a participen

i believe the source of this quote is saying if you are going to try on something new then make sure you get to the bottom of it. do not just learn what you see on it's surface, make sure you know as much about it as you can.
If you want to look at the world this way you would find that the world is a very depressing place to live in. Take war, religion, how America gets their money, who's really who, everything, there's almost always a black heart at the center. That's why people prefer lies rather than the horrible truth.
i think this quote means don't be happy with your results. always go for the maximum because your capable of much more. try to find out more than what is shown to you because you will beome wiser.
