his quote has a literal meaning of if he does wrong and you follow, your just as bad. if someone murders anothers lover, and the widow(er) retaliates by killing the murderer, than they are just as bad.

-anti death penalty

This quote states something obvious, but it is probably a metaphor for America and oppression of colored people. White America does damage to itself while trying to put the Afro-American down; we are all in this together, after all.

this proposes a conflict. if you were to keep someone down then you keep yourself down. you cannot stay up and hold someone down.

that if you hold someone down by not letting them do anything then you are holding yourself down. by holding them down fromdoing anyhting then you cannot do anything either because you are constently hold them down.

If you try to make someone feel bad about something they did wrong, then you're doing something wrong yourself. That makes you just as bad as the person you're trying to "hold down." Besides, it's not like anyone has any room to talk, (including me) no one's perfect so we shouldn't point out everyone else's faults when we should be focused on our own.

YOU CANNOT STEAL FROM ATHIEF AND NOT CONSIDER YOURSELF TO BE IN THE SAME NEGATIVE CATEGORIE, UNDERSTAND AND REALIZE THAT YOU CANNOT HATE A HATER UNLESS YOU ARE WHAT YOU HATE PUNK.

WHAT I THINK HE IS TRYING TO SAY BASICALLY IS THAT REVENGE WILL LEAVE YOU IN THE SAME PLACE AS THE PERSON WHO DID SOMETHING TO YOU. YOU ARE DROPPING YOURSELF DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL. AS THE SAYING GOES "AN EYE FOR AN EYE".

-PEACE OUT

I believe if a person were to put someone, by any means at all, that they are just digging their own ditch as well. Ian had it correct when he said that it could be a metaphor to America. Wendell said it as well that by putting someone down you are actually putting yourself down as well.
